We have finally been able to do a weekly practice on wednesday nights now that I am down here full time. It's amazing how much people can forget what we practice within a few days. I struggled with a few things on Sunday morning during our final run through, but everything turned out ok. We introduced the congregation to a new song "My Redeemer Lives" by Hillsong. The band had a great time singing that and we are going to be doing it again this Sunday to get the congregation more familiar with it. Here is what we did last Sunday.
Opening Song - My Redeemer Lives
Worship set
Hallelujah (Your Love is Amazing)
I Could Sing of your Love Forever
You Are God Alone
Rescue
Before You Are God Alone I shared a scripture Nehemiah 9:6
You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.
Worship was a wonderful time of praise to God. I'm looking forward to another week of worshipping with some wonderful people.
I plan to introduce another new song to the congregation next week called "Hear My Worship." It's become one of my new favorite praise songs and I can't wait to sing it with everyone else.
